Praying Mantis

Two different colors of praying
mantis showed up in the spring flower pots. The gal mantes (they probably ate the males) were active all season.

By the second week of October both were gone.

One summer's day

The morning feeding.

The coyote came from the north across six lanes of highway
to the openspace for a quick meal of mice and baby cottontails.
It later returned from the south with a adult cottontail for the
pups.

What we miss about Oregon

I started in the front yard and worked my way

around the house taking photos--each bush

different.

A trip to Shore Acres in the spring.

A sunbow on a beautiful coastal day.

Small town-- 100th Rhody Days Parade-2007.

Rhody Days Classic Car Show.

More Rhodies in the backyard.

Old Fashioned Rose gift from MaryEllen.

Dwarf Japanese Weeping Maple.

Daisies in flower pot

Honeysuckle

What's in that cup, Kurt?

Columbine

We miss the rhodies in our yard, Shore Acres, sunbow above our front yard,
wood working in the garden, clouds, celebrating Florence's
100th Rhody Day parade in the rain, the Rhody Days
Classic Cars Show, and green, green,
green.
